Powder Horn is a course based event based on the Ranger requirements, giving participants an exposure to some outdoor/high adventure activities. It is not a certification event. Even though the course is geared towards the Ranger program, it is still useful for leaders involved in delivering a unit-level high adventure program. This course is based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines and meets OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs. - Primary and Secondary Assessments

This event will give Venturing Scouts an opportunity to learn about firearms and shoot in Cowboy Action Competition using .22 rifle and pistol, large & small caliber firearms, 12 gauge shotguns and explore the shooting skills of the early American Black powder rifles. Awards will be given for the best cowboy outfit and the best Alias Story about their character. Register |
