DUTCH OVEN COOK-OFF

Dutch Oven Cook-Off Rules and Information
Big Event - Dutch Oven Cookoff Recipes

The Dutch Oven dates back to the Mountain Man and the fur trade era. It provides the desert and mountain dweller with a way of cooking an easy meal with minimal attendance. You simply put the food in and it cooks itself. A main course meal or a dessert can be cooked on the coals of the fire. A cooking class is held daily, so even if you have never done it before come and learn how. Friday afternoon the team Dutch Oven contest will be held. You can begin anytime between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. The main course will be judged promptly at 6:00 p.m. and the dessert at 6:30 p.m. When it has been judged you can return to your camp with your dinner or dessert and everyone is a winner!!
