Scouts will have a chance to advance by working on a merit badge requirement as well as working on the 5 fields of emphasis in the Varsity program. Look for the merit badges next to the events you are interested in. Each participant will need to visit and take part in at least 1 of each of the 5 fields including Advancement.
Experience cooking on the campfire without any pots, pans or aluminum foil. You'll learn to cook breads, meats, vegetables, desserts and breakfasts. This event will allow the participants to pass off some of the requirements of the cooking merit badge as outlined in the Boy Scout Handbook and the Cooking merit badge book.
At 12:00 (high noon), Saturday, two sides will attack in infantry style armed with a bag of flour. LEADERS BEWARE!!!
Follow the directions through the forest and use your compass to lead you to the goal. There will be levels to challenge the skilled and allow the beginner success. You'll need to bring your compass and a pencil.

Guided tour through the mountain side and meadows to highlight wildlife, vegetation and rock formations. Demonstrations of the effects of campfires on the wilderness.
