Session 3 - Date: Saturday, April 13, 2013 (Course 1) Saturday, May 4, 2013 (Course 2) Saturday, October 12, 2013 (Course 3) Time: 8:00am to 5:00pm (Bring your own Lunch) Location: Pete's Rock Part 2 - Participantion Information This is a fun and challenging course for adults 18 years and older who are associated with BSA and wish to work towards becoming a certified BSA Climbing Instructor. It is an intensive three day class combining both classroom study and practical application of the individual's climbing abilities in the field. This course does require individuals to be able to climb, and a reasonable level of physical fitness is necessary. Class size is limited, and pre-registration is required. Attendance on all three days and completion of the CPR and first-aid certifications are mandatory for successful completion. This course presumes you have a solid foundation in the fundamentals of climbing. These include: basic climbing knots, belay and rappelling techniques, basic understanding of rigging and equipment care. Requirements: Completion of the requirements of the Climbing merit badge (mandatory). You will need a completed Annual Health and Medical Record (mandatory).
