Question:  How many Scout units does the Great Salt Lake Council own?
Answer: None

The Great Salt Lake Council includes over 5,000 Cub Scout packs, Boy Scout troops, Varsity Scout teams and Venturing crews, but the council does not “own” any.  Each Scout unit is “owned” by a chartered partner.

The mission of Great Salt Lake Council Relationships:

  • Introduce the programs of the Boy Scouts of America to all parts of the communities that the council serves.
  • Identify organizations that share Scouting’s values and invite them into the Scouting family.
