Brownsea Staff Information

Activities on Brownsea Island

Many of the same activities that were enjoyed by the boys at the Brownsea Island experimental camp will be experienced by attendees and visitors to the Brownsea Island Experience at the National Scout Jamboree.

They will play some of the same fun games, learn the same songs and informative skills as those “Lads” in 1907. As staff members, you will be thoroughly trained in each and every activity and able to instruct others in how to also enjoy them. By doing so, you will give visitors to “The Island” a personal understanding of the fun and historical significance of that first experimental Scout camp.

Please read, print out and familiarize yourself with the information on the “Brownsea Island Activities” file. It will serve as your training manual for the activities.
