Wood Badge—High Level Adult Leadership Training
NYLT—Silver Mocassin Leadership Training for CO-ED Youth (Boys 12-20 Girls 14-20)
High Adventure Program for young men & young women 16 - 20
" Envision" training is the Great Salt Lake Council's way to bring together the
Wood Badge Training course with Family Camping!
Envision will provide families the opportunity to share the vision and
feel the spirit of Scouting. Wood Badge participants and their families
will be camping and eating together, as well as having Wednesday afternoon
& evenings together.
Family Camp is a Philmont-style, fully organized and staffed family program
offered for all family members from 2 years of age up through adults
looking to enjoy the Wood Badge experience with their spouse.

Enriching, fun, and age appropriate activities will be provided for the Family Camp
participants daily. Activities may include: swimming, shooting sports, archery, crafts,
hiking, fishing, games, singing, Indian lore, boating, conservation projects, and skits.
Children must participate in the family program or be under the direct supervision of
a parent who is not attending the Wood Badge training course.
Youth in the appropriate age groups may attend the youth Scout training sessions.
Only children enrolled in the family camp program will be allowed to participate in its activities.
All Scout Leaders, make your plans now to attend the Great Salt Lake Council "Envision"
Training! There are only forty-eight slots for Wood Badge participants, and only families
of those attending Wood Badge may attend Family Camp.

Wood Badge for the 21st Century is:
The advanced training program for all adult
Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity, and Venturing Leaders,
as well as Council and District Leaders involved in the BSA program.
If you are thinking of signing up a youth CO-ED for Kodiak (Boys & Girls 16-20 yrs old) please note:
There is a rigorous 4 day - 38 mile hike ( optional 50 miles hike) in the high Uintahs.
If you or your youth don't feel they can make it, please register them for NYLT instead.
The NYLT Weeklong Course:
Course Begins on Sunday Early Check-in:

begins 7:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014
ends 5:00p.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014
A non-refundable deposit of $50 per individual is required at time of registration.
All course fees are due 45 days prior to the beginning of the course.
Refunds requested 30 days or more before the course begins will be 100%
less $50 for the deposit.
Refunds requested 29 to 7 days prior to the course will be 50% less $50 for the deposit.
Refunds requested 6 days or less, and anyone who fails to attend will forfeit 100% of fees.
It is possible to transfer to another course in the same calendar year, with no loss of
fees paid, if the transfer is made 7 days or more prior to the beginning of the course
you aretransferring from. Transfers made 6 days or less before your course begins,
or after the start of your course, will forfeit $50 of fees paid.
Your money cannot be transferred to a different year or a different activity.
Deposits CAN NOT be transferred to another individual.

You will need a Health and Medical form filled out and signed by your doctor.
