The Wilderness & Remote First Aid Class will help you build and refine all the
Skills you need to become Wilderness and Remote First Aid Certified.
This certification is through the American Red Cross, and is good for 2 years.
This course has been facilitated by the Boy Scouts of America and assisted
in the production of the Wilderness First Aid Cirriculum and Doctrine Guidelines.

Wilderness First Aid Student Course
Designed for scouts, outdoor enthusiasts and those working in remote environments, this course teaches how to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed. This course is based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines and meets OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs.
Primary and Secondary Assessments
Head (Brain), Neck and Spinal Injuries
Allergies and Anaphylaxis
Bone and Joint Injuries
Wounds and Wound Infection
Water Rescue/Safe Swim Defense
Prerequisites: Must be at least 14 years of age.
Course length: 20+ hours; 2 year certification
