District 22 Fall Camporee and bicycle ride from the Coalville fairgrounds to the Wyoming border on the Chalk Creek road.

When: September 21-22, 2012 - Camping starts at 4:00pm Friday, the 21st
The bike ride will begin at 8:15am Saturday, the 22nd
Where: Summit County Fairgrounds - 202 E Park Road, Coalville, UT
Cost: $10 per participant which will offset costs for the campsite, "refueling stations" and the patch.
This is a great 25 or 50 mile bike ride up cool and beautiful Chalk Creek canyon
in the fall.
Level of difficulty: rolling hills, ~1,200 vertical climb over 25 miles; only about 1/4 mile is
unpaved...very smooth ride
Bike riders will have two choices: 1. A turn-around at the 12.5 mile marker and return (25 miles); or 2. Continue up Chalk Creek Road to the Wyoming border and return (50 miles).
Multi geared bikes (road bikes or mountain bikes) make this a much easier ride.
Boys 11 to 19 and leaders are encouraged to ride. This qualifies for key parts of your
Cycling merit badge and an additional camp night for your Camping merit badge.
We will provide: dessert Friday night, minor bike repairs and tune-ups at camp, snacks and drinks at aid stations along the way, Emergency health (EMT's or MD's) personnel, a WYNOT III patch for every rider
You provide: camping gear, food, bicycle, water bottle, helmet, clothing, etc.
Tour plan is required.
