Jalapeno peppers Bacon strips cut in half
Cream cheese softened Toothpicks
Paprika or favorite BBQ seasoning
Cut peppers in half and remove rib and seeds. (Be careful! Wear plastic gloves and whatever you do DO NOT TOUCH YOUR EYES!) Fill pepper halves with cream cheese. Sprinkle with paprika or BBQ seasoning. Wrap with slice bacon, securing with a toothpick. Put in Dutch Oven, trying not to stack peppers. (One layer works best.) Put lid on and bake for 30-45 minutes or until bacon is done.
NOTE: A dozen peppers cut in half will fill the bottom of a 12" Dutch Oven. One block of cream cheese will fill more than 24 pepper halves. Adjust quantities for the size of your crowd.
