GREAT SALT LAKE COUNCIL

Cub Scout Awards, Activity and Trail Patch Information,

and Cub Scout Leader Guidelines

The awards and patches in this booklet provide opportunities for a Cub Scout to have fun learning experiences. It is not necessary for a boy to earn all the patches. Boys may earn these patches by fulfilling the requirements with a family member, den, or pack. Many requirements of these awards and activity patches meet achievements and electives in the Cub Scout handbooks.

Some patches have similar requirements. Completed activities may be used to fulfil requirements for multiple patches; however, service project requirements should not be used to complete multiple patches.

Upon completion of the requirements, awards and most patches may be purchased at your local Scout Shop location. Some awards require a completed application to be submitted to and approved at a Great Salt Lake Council Service Center before purchase. Awards and patches are to be approved and purchased by adult leaders at one of the following three locations:
