Important Announcement for ALL Adult Leaders in BSA
Effective January 1, 2009, a new medical release and information form will need to be used instead of the former Class 1, 2 & 3 medical forms. The new form can be grabbed from the National Council web site on this LINK.
WOW!! Scouting for Food -- 2009
We thought last year was phenominal. But... this year we increased the number of items collected by over 18%. It is remarkable that in this economic climate we were able to turn over 42,000 items into Tooele County food banks. Thanks to all the Scouts and their leaders for an extraordinary effort AND special thanks to Mike Perry for once again heading up this year's effort on the District level.

September 26th - Varsity Turkey Shoot
District 11 Training Events:
September 24th, 2009 -- Leader Specific Training -- For all Adult Leaders (Except Scoutmasters)
If you have not yet been through the "Leader Specific" training for the position you currently hold, please plan on attending this event. Remember... "This is Scouting for New Leaders" is taught Sep - May, during round table. For current training information, please click HERE.
September 25th & 26th, 2009 -- Outdoor Leadership Skills -- For Scoutmasters
This training will teach adult leaders the skills and how to teach the skills needed for overnight camping events. It will be held at the Tooele Scout Wigwam. This is an overnight event and Assistant Scoutmasters as well as Varsity Team Coaches are invited to attend. Click HERE. for an info sheet.
