District Boy Scout “New Scout” Patrol Committee Member

  1. Reports directly to District Boy Scout Vice Chairman
  2. Provides guidance to the "New Scout" leaders within the district.
  3. Works closely with Roundtable and Training Chairman in developing training plans to meet the needs of "New Scout" leaders within the district.
  4. Serve as a resource to the District Roundtable, Training and Camping & Activities committees
  5. Becomes trained in Boy Scout program and is encouraged to participate in the advanced adult leader training (Woodbadge)
  6. Promotes district camping and activities that could involve "New Scout" patrols.
  7. Support and promote district and council activities
  8. Set the example by wearing the proper uniform.
  9. Registers with the District
  10. Helps to achieve the Quality District Award
  11. Meetings to attend:
    1. District
      1. Boy Scout Committee - monthly
      2. Roundtable - monthly
      3. Roundtable committee meeting - as required
      4. Training committee meeting - as required
      5. Camping & Activities committee meeting - as required
      6. Recognition Banquet - yearly
    2. Council
      1. Coordinated Council Meeting - monthly
