District Boy Scout Advancement Committee Member

  1. Reports directly to District Boy Scout Vice Chairman
  2. Responsible for the Boy Scout advancement process within the District.
  3. Recruitment of adequate Advancement committee staff to meet the advancement needs of the District.
  4. Serve as a member of the Council Advancement committee.
  5. Promotes the full and complete advancement process within the district, including the Eagle Board of review process.
  6. Support and promote district and council activities with regard to Advancement.
  7. Becomes trained in Boy Scout program and is encouraged to participate in the advanced adult leader training (Woodbadge)
  8. Serve as a resource to the other district committees.
  9. Set the example by wearing the proper uniform.
  10. Registers with the District
  11. Helps to achieve the Quality District Award
  12. Meetings to attend:
    1. District
      1. Boy Scout Committee - monthly
      2. Advancement committee meeting - monthly
      3. Recognition Banquet - yearly
    2. Council
      1. Coordinated Council Meeting - monthly
